History of the Atelier des Lumières
Atelier des Lumières opened on April 13, 2018 as an art center focusing on digital art in Paris. It was created by Culturespaces which is a private institution ensuring the management of historical monuments and museums, the creation of art centers.
Bruno Monnier, the founder of the Culturspaces discovered the industrial site that was used as a former foundry and decided to make it a contemporary/digital art center where immersive exhibitions dedicated to the greatest artists in the history of art will be screened.
Atelier des Lumières thus became a unique place that combines culture, art and pleasure.
Atelier des Lumières welcomed more than a million visitors already the first year it was opened.
